Marketing Assistant: Common Job Interview Questions
Marketing Assistant: Most common job interview questions and anwsers examples
Question 1: What do you do to make sure there are no typos in your content?
Making sure there are no typos in content is the most important task before sharing content to the public. In my previous company, to ensure there are no typos in content, I have built a 3-step quality control process for my team. Firstly, freelancer who submits content with typos will be fined. Step 2, the intern will help proofread the content again. Finally, the content leader will check the content once again before publishing. Most of the typos are, therefore, detected right in the 1st step.
Question 2: There’s a massive big and small tasks to be done before the event day. How do you manage your workload by prioritizing your time and resources?
I will determine the priority of the tasks based on the event’s objectives, the importance and time to accomplish each task, the needs of the clients / attendees and the resources at that time.
For example, my event is a seminar. After the seminar, I want the participants to gain a lot of useful knowledge which they can use to create value for their life, and that is also their desire when participating in the seminar. Therefore, I always make the speakers and content my number one priority. After that, in order to improve the experience of the attendees, I will pay more attention to other things, such as the quality of the projector and the sound system, learning tools, etc.
As for entertainment events like music show, the singers, stage decoration, sound and light quality are definitely my top priorities.
Question 3: What makes digital marketing different from traditional marketing?
Traditional marketing activities, such as: OOH, print ads, leaflets, display, advertising on TV… could reach out to locally target audiences, also involve producing marketing materials (POSM), one-way communication from the company to consumers, hard to have an exact measurement of marketing objectives. While Digital marketing activities could customize from a global population based on digital platforms, provide audience interaction, using multiple channels based on audience behavior and preferences, easier in controlling and measuring.
Question 4: How do you make something go viral?
It’s sometimes difficult to know what exactly will go viral. Viral contents are seemingly random, but there are certain elements of a content that can give it a greater chance of going viral. Contents should be matched with insights of target audience interms of image, word choice, tone of message, etc. Content on social media should be short and straight to the point. Timing is also very important. In case of video on social media, audiences only need 8 seconds to decide whether they shouId keep watching or just pass it. That why I would focus on making those very first seconds highly appealing to capture the viewers’ attention. Sharing time should be relevant both for the content and for online time to digest content. Sharing the content with KOLs or influential members of the blogging or media communities can help too.
Question 5: What do you know about remarketing and which tools could help you launch a remarketing campaign?)
