Content Marketing Manager: Interview Questions
Content Marketing Manager: Most common job interview questions and anwsers examples
Question 1: What do you do to make sure there are no typos in your content?
Question 2: What type of content do you like the most? Why?
I like to read books that explain everything around us, like the “100 thousands WHYs”. I like to search for how things work and go find the reasons behind. When reading these kinds of books, I learn more about the world, and even though the content does not directly help me in my professional life, the way the author explains complicated things in the simplest way helps me improve the content I write and how I explain things. In the end, content writing in marketing is all about explaining products or brand philosophy to customers in the most comprehensive way.
Question 3: What’s your writing like? How would you describe it?
In my previous, I worked for a Human Resourses firm and am inchare of the recruitment content on careersite, fanpage for experienced jobseekers. So most of my writings are in formal style. I always put efforts to vary my content pieces in different ways, from argumentative, descriptive, narrative to persuasive writing, or many times, a mix between those types. Whatever writing style or tone of writing, I always stick to my target audience to tailor my content, keep it well-structured and concise
Question 4: What are some ways you optimize your content for SEO?
Apart from Keyword Density (often from 2% – 5%), the other parts of a Content that should be taken care of, are:
• Metadata: It is the small excerpt of the content that shows on search engines, below the URL and website information. Attractive metadata helps in getting the most number of organic traffic.
• URL: The part of the URL that appears after the domain name should be constructed in an informative way. They should contain primary information about the content. For example, if you are writing an article about top tourist spots in India, and the URL looks like “www.websitename.com/hhfkjahv984u3”, then it will not provide any information about the content. Alternatively, if the article title says “Best Books for JEE”, but the URL is “www.websitename.com/mathematics-tutors-in-delhi”, then this is misleading. And people who are looking for books, will not visit the page.”
• Internal and External Links: A good Content should contain sufficient internal and external links depending on the size of the article.
Question 5: Do you have (or have you ever had) a personal blog? If so, what were your topics of interest?
I’ve written my blog for nearly 7 years since I was at high school, as a way for me to release stress, and where I can put my personal thoughts and feeling about everything around me. I often publish articles about food, streetstyle clothings, destinations I have been to,…
